Topics covered include office support software and application software. Emphasis is placed upon the use of computers to assist with business issues. The impact of computers on our lives is also explored. Course Policies: 1. Grading: " Examinations (3 section tests and 1 final exams.) - 40% " Hands-on Experience: - 60% 2. Grading Scale: Letter Grade Numeric Average A 90 and above B 80 - 89.9 C 70 - 79.9 D 60 - 69.9 F Under 60 3. Testing: Students are required to take examinations on the day and time they are scheduled. If special circumstances require a modification to the test schedule, this must be worked out in advance with the instructor, or students will need to present a College valid excuse. If a student misses an exam, and is enAssignment d to a make up, it is student's obligation to contact the instructor in order to make the necessary arrangements. 4. Hands-on Experience: It is anticipated that students will spend at least 4-hours per week researching information on the Internet and working on the class assignments. 5. Homework: Hands-on Assignments must be completed and emailed as attached files only. Late assignments will not be accepted for any reason. If it is determined that files are being shared by any number of students all students involved will be given an incomplete for the assignment without regard for which student did the actual work. |
